The Clerk is the "Record Keeper." She manages an office that is responsible for filing, storing, and retrieving civil/ criminal court records. The Clerk's office secures all books, papers, dockets, and records, and issues/ signs summonses, writs, and subpoenas. As your Superior Court Clerk, I will be responsible for the oversight and administration of a broad, yet critical, information management system that includes the community’s most vital court and real estate records, that dates as far back as the late 1800s. In addition to ensuring that millions of public documents are secure, the Clerk’s office also directs key administrative functions in the judicial system. A key function of the Clerk of Superior Court is to oversee the jury system. It is my goal to introduce a plan that will expedite the jury selection process by "weeding" out unqualified jurors prior to the subpoena process.
